Looking into the mirror today,
I saw my mother.
I looked again to be sure.
Yes, there was my mother.

Yesterday I looked into the mirror
and saw myself.
I've been myself for so long
that I knew it was me.

But today I looked into the mirror
and saw my mother.
How can it be that she is she and I am me,
yet today I saw that I am she?
